Ultimately, any decision made about the future of our amazing school has to have the children at the very heart of it.
As a school, we are driven by the desire to continuously improve our school in order to provide the very best for the children we have the privilege of working with on a daily basis.
In a time where the challenges facing schools are wide ranging and ever increasing, we feel that there is a benefit to our school looking to be part of a strong school family and, in this instance, Infinity Academies Trust.
We have been given the opportunity to work alongside Infinity Academies Trust for several months now, and already we are seeing the benefits of this for our school and our children.
In terms of the day to day running of the school, initially you would notice very little difference. We would not lose our identity, we will not have to change what we teach and our ethos will remain.
The move would also give us further stability and help ensure our sustainability - which in a world of tighter funding and declining birth rates is very important.
Whilst we may be exploring the possibility of entering a new trust, this does not mean we will stop working with schools local to us. Indeed, the collaboration with these schools will continue to form a crucial part of what we do.
Having had the opportunity to form positive relationships with members of the Infinity team over the last two years, I look forward to the opportunity to potentially develop these further to help drive forward the improvement at St. Peter in Eastgate Church of England Infant School.
Infinity Academies Trust currently has 13 schools across Lincolnshire. We would work closely with the schools within the network, building particularly strong links with those nearest to us - giving us access to real working partnerships.
Our staff are vitally important to us. If we proceed, staff will go through a full consultation process, and their terms and conditions cannot change if we proceed.
We also believe that this move will give staff access to further development opportunities both with training and opportunities to progress.
Uniforms will stay the same, and lessons will not fundamentally alter. The aim is not to lose all the things that made you choose our school for your child.
We believe our children will access increased enrichment opportunities and benefit from the additional support and training that the Trust will provide for our staff.
Joining Infinity does not mean that we will lose our community links. Infinity encourages and supports Local Governing Bodies. Links with other schools are encouraged and there is a commitment to support local projects, charities and community events.
